Entrepreneurship, Integrity, & Uniting Women with Dr. Braley Bourque
Jul 29, 202651 minS1
Dr. Braley Bourque founded three companies before most people figure out what they want to do with one. She built them in industries where she kept running into the same problem — a lot of surface-level success and not enough actual leadership. So she stopped trying to fit into spaces that weren't built the way she believed they should be and started building her own. In this episode, the founder of The Clarity Way, Insight Neuro, and Elevate Her gets honest about what fueled her and why integrity has been the value she has never been willing to trade away. She talks about the cost of leaving financial security behind to bet on herself, what discernment looks like in a hiring decision, and why she believes the “loneliness at the top” narrative is something women no longer have to accept. In this episode: What it’s like to build three companies from scratch on your own terms Why trusting your gut is one of the most underrated leadership tools for women How Elevate Her was born to unite women across industries Why jealousy is just misdirected desire and what shifts when you see it that way What she believes the future of women in leadership looks like Connect with Dr. Braley on LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/drbraley-bourque-b4090627a Save your spot for the Empowering Women in Law 2026 Retreat: pointnortheast.com/ewil
Science, Storytelling, and Staying True to Yourself with Kimberly LaPointe
Jul 15, 202653 minS1
Kimberly LaPointe studied molecular biology, knew she talked too much for the lab, and spent the next decades building a career that nobody had a job title for yet. She became the person who could walk into a room full of brilliant scientists and translate what they were doing into something an investor board could actually understand. It turned out that was rarer than she thought, and more valuable than she was being paid for. In this episode, the strategic marketing leader in the life sciences industry gets honest about what it cost her to prioritize flexibility over compensation for years. She also talks about what grit looked like working overnight shifts from Japan while her kids slept, the guilt that comes with working on something important while still trying to show up at home, and what it finally feels like to be on a team where everyone is rowing in the same direction. In this episode: The moment she was called emotional for asking about her salary and what shifted after that What she will not put up with from her own marketing team The privilege of finally getting to choose your environment and why it takes years to earn it How she’s navigated being a woman in the life sciences industry What it means to be the translator between brilliant science and the people who fund it 🔗 Connect with Kimberly LaPointe on LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/kimberlylapointe 🔗 Save your spot for the Empowering Women in Law 2026 Retreat: pointnortheast.com/ewil
