Wellness Myths That Need to Die: What I Actually Want You to Stop Doing
Aug 24, 202638 minS6
There is SO much health and wellness advice online—and a lot of it sounds convincing because it uses words like “hormones,” “detox,” and “inflammation.” But just because something is trending doesn't mean it's actually necessary for your health. In this episode, I'm breaking down some of the biggest wellness myths I wish women would stop feeling pressured to follow. From going gluten- and dairy-free to detox teas, seed cycling, hormone-balancing supplements, food sensitivity tests, low-carb diets, intermittent fasting, and the idea that “normal” labs automatically mean you're healthy. We'll talk about what actually deserves your attention, where some of these trends came from, and why your health should be personalized instead of dictated by the latest TikTok trend. In this episode, we'll cover: Whether everyone really needs to be gluten- or dairy-free Why detox teas aren't the answer The truth about seed cycling and “hormone-balancing” foods Why I don't believe everyone needs hormone-balancing supplements What you should know about food sensitivity testing Whether women actually need to avoid carbohydrates The pros and cons of intermittent fasting Why “normal” blood work doesn't always tell the whole story The biggest wellness myth of all: that you have to be perfect to be healthy My goal isn't to tell you that every wellness trend is completely useless. It's to help you understand when something actually makes sense for you—and when you're just spending money, restricting your diet, or creating unnecessary stress. Because wellness should make your life better, not smaller. Support the show Don't forget to follow me on instagram and tiktok: @dr.kristinatelhami to see more of my content! In this episode, I'm sharing my 10 personal health non-negotiables —the simple habits that keep me feeling energized, strong, grounded, and healthy without making wellness feel restrictive or overwhelming. We'll talk about why I prioritize protein, morning sunlight, walking, quality sleep, strength training, gut health, hydration, stress management, regular blood work, and—one of the most underrated ones— boundaries . I'll also share how I balance these habits with real life, because being healthy doesn't mean eating perfectly, never going out, or saying no to everything fun. It's about creating a strong foundation that allows you to enjoy your life, too. In this episode, we'll cover: Why protein is one of my biggest nutrition priorities The simple morning habit that supports my energy and sleep Why walking is one of my favorite forms of movement How I prioritize sleep and recovery Why strength training matters for women How I support my gut health Why I believe in knowing your blood work The ways I manage stress in real life My approach to hydration and electrolytes Why setting boundaries is actually a health habit You don't need to do everything perfectly. These are simply the habits I consistently come back to—and the foundation that allows me to live a healthy life without feeling like I have to live a perfect one. With so much conflicting health advice online, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and unsure of what actually matters. We'll cover: The biggest mistakes people make when starting their health journey Why you shouldn't jump straight to supplements How to identify patterns in your symptoms The blood work I recommend starting with Lifestyle habits that make the biggest impact When to consider gut health and hormone testing A simple roadmap to help you stop guessing and start making informed decisions Whether you're just beginning your wellness journey or feel like you've tried everything without getting answers, this episode will help you simplify the process and focus on what truly moves the needle. Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
