The Anointing Makes The Difference - Week 1 | Derek Anglin
What does it mean to be anointed by God? In this message, we explore the biblical meaning of anointing through the story of Saul in 1 Samuel 10 and Paul's declaration in 2 Corinthians 1:21 that God “has anointed us.” From the Old Testament to the New Testament, we see that God's anointing sets people apart for His purposes and is fulfilled through the work of the Holy Spirit. Saul's anointing reveals that God's anointing is purposeful and prophetical . God anointed Saul for a specific assignment, and the Spirit of God came powerfully upon him, transforming his heart and marking him as someone set apart by God. But God's anointing also makes a difference in our lives. It distinguishes us, dedicates us, and makes us different as we walk in the purpose God has given us. This message challenges us to recognize what God has placed on our lives and to understand that there is an attack against the anointing God has given us. The question is not simply whether God has called us, but whether we will faithfully walk in what He has anointed us to do.
