Love for the One // I Love My Church // Part 4
There's a guy in Luke 19 that nobody in Jericho was making room for, a wealthy, despised tax collector named Zacchaeus who wanted a look at Jesus so badly he ran through the street and climbed a tree like a kid, just to see over the crowd. This week we looked at what happened next: Jesus stopped, looked up, and called him by name before Zacchaeus had repented, apologized, or handed back a single coin. We talked about why grace always moves first, the difference between feeling sorry and actually changing, and a story from one of our own church members about what it meant to simply be remembered by name. We closed by naming one person we've each quietly filed under a label instead of a name, and what it looks like to go after them this week. We would love to hear how God is changing your life through this ministry!
