360. Working Mom Mindset: How To Let Go Of Anger & Make Room For Peace
Hi Mamas, Anger takes up too much space in a heart that deserves peace.” This week, we’re talking about forgiveness… and before we can talk about forgiveness, we have to talk about one of the biggest things that can get in the way of it: anger. Because here's the thing, mama: sometimes you have every right to be angry. Someone hurt you. Someone disappointed you. A boundary was crossed. Maybe you never received the apology you deserved. And letting go of your anger does NOT mean that what happened was okay. But there’s a difference between feeling anger and carrying anger. When we carry anger with us, we replay the conversation. We think about what they said, what we should have said, and what we wish we could go back and change. And all that takes up mental and emotional space… space that could be filled with peace, joy, gratitude, connection and presence. In this short Monday Mindset episode, we’re talking about how to recognize the anger you’re still carrying and ask an important question: Do I have a right to be angry? Maybe I absolutely do. But do I want to keep carrying it? Because holding onto anger doesn't change what happened. It doesn't change what someone said or did, and it can't force someone to give you the apology you deserve. But it can affect how much of your life you're able to enjoy right now. YOUR MONDAY MINDSET CHALLENGE: This week, think about one thing you're still angry about. Don't judge yourself for it. Don't try to force yourself to forgive before you're ready. Instead, when that anger comes up, pause and ask yourself: How much space am I willing to keep giving this? Then ask: What is it costing me to carry it? Your peace? Your energy? Your presence? Your happiness? Another relationship? Sometimes the first step toward forgiveness isn't saying, “I forgive you.” Sometimes it's simply realizing: “I don't want to carry this anymore.” And make sure you come back tomorrow because we're continuing this conversation with an important episode from the Mom Wife Career Life archives: Forgiveness Without an Apology: Releasing the Weight We Were Never Meant to Carry. We'll talk about how to begin forgiving someone even when you never received an apology, how forgiveness and boundaries can coexist, and why forgiveness isn't necessarily about setting the other person free… it's about setting yourself free.
