William Caliban has coasted through his life with no ambitions or passions to speak of. He works as a tech assistant at Palace Entertainment, a company responsible for signing and training idols. When he is assigned to help with an upcoming audition, everything changes the moment he hears Lucien Angel sing. From that day on, William’s obsession with Lucien grows and quickly crosses over the line of being a “normal fan.” Royce Estelle, better known as Stelle, is a childhood friend of Lucien and a fellow idol. He’s had a crush on Lucien since childhood, and just as he begins to make moves, he notices odd things happening at their shared workplace, Palace Entertainment. There are cameras he knows weren’t there before, anonymous gifts being left in the break room addressed to Lucien, and items going missing. Every concern is explained away by those around him, but Stelle has a gut feeling that something more is going on. Lucien Angel is the picture of a perfect idol; his voice is enchanting, his looks are otherworldly, and every person who lays eyes on him is lured in by his charm. Lucien is used to admirers wherever he goes, so when he starts finding presents left just for him, he accepts them happily. Why not, when he’s had plenty of attention since his debut? If only Stelle would stop worrying and stop trying to convince him that the things happening around them aren’t normal. After all, being adored by fans is what Lucien Angel lives for.
