#081: More & Faster Is Not Better | My Take on How AI Is Potentially Ruining Your Brand, Your Reputation & Your Legacy

We are being told that we can use AI to do things faster and more efficiently… but at what expense? We are even being told that we can use it to replace our own voice and to clone ourselves on the internet. This is a slippery slope, if you ask me. What drives me crazy more than anything is every single time I hear somebody say, "If you don't get up to speed with all of these new AI tools, you will be left behind." First of all, nobody has the ability to predict the future. So if somebody is telling you that you are going to be left behind, run for the hills. Nobody knows what the future holds. And using fear tactics like this to sell people stuff is not cool anyway. And if sabotaging my authenticity means 'getting left behind', then leave me behind, please. My take on who's going to be left behind is much different. I believe, in a world where there's so much artificial content being generated, that the people who are willing to be real are going to be the last ones standing. Not to mention, they are the ones that are going to leave a real legacy. In this episode, I go into more detail about my thoughts on this topic. I realize it's very controversial, and I'm okay with that. I feel like some of this stuff just needs to be said so that people aren't misled into thinking that they have to use artificial intelligence instead of doing the thinking on their own, with their own real intelligence and using their own minds, their own hearts, and their own creativity to put their work out into the world. Just because you can use AI to write your content for you, doesn't mean you have to or that you should. You're not fooling anybody and content without any heart and soul doesn't land the same way, doesn't serve your audience the same way, and it all sounds the same- like a Wikipedia article. If anyone was to ask me what my biggest 'secret' to success is, I would say it's that I am willing to take my time. I'm not in a rush. I like to use my mind to create from my heart (without anything artificial thrown into the mix), because my audience is worth it and so is my voice.
