Living Hope Church Sermons
Wk 9: A Permanent Temple - 2 CORINTHIANS: “STRENGTH IN WEAKNESS”
The sermon explores Paul’s teaching in 2 Corinthians 5 that our physical bodies are temporary “tents,” while God promises a permanent, resurrected existence, giving Christians hope in both life and death. It argues that because the body is sacred and integral to who we are, Christians should reject cultural views that treat the body as disposable or separate from our true identity, and instead use our bodies to honor God and fulfill the meaningful work he has given us. Ultimately, the message is that “to live is Christ, to die is gain”—Christians can face suffering, aging, death, and grief without fear because Jesus has already passed through death and risen again, assuring us that eternal life and resurrection await us.
