Joy In The Journey — Week 1
Seth Rempel welcomed the LifeWell congregation and introduced the new series, *Joy in the Journey*, which explores how true joy is cultivated as we walk with God through the ups and downs of life. Using Paul’s letter to the Philippians, he showed that joy is not a fleeting feeling tied to our circumstances but a deep, resilient confidence rooted in Jesus and lived out in community. He highlighted three ways Paul demonstrates that joy grows: through partnership, through a god‑centered perspective on suffering, and through perseverance in the mission. Throughout the sermon Seth encouraged the church to lean on one another, to see hardships as opportunities for the gospel, and to press on together, trusting that God’s work in us will bring lasting joy. The message reminded listeners that we are not called to journey alone; the same joy that sustained Paul in prison can sustain us today when we stay connected, keep our eyes on Christ’s purpose, and persevere in faith. Seth closed with an invitation to respond, urging each person to step out in faith, support one another, and experience the joy that comes from living on mission together.
