Revelation is one of the most interesting books in the Bible for several reasons. Many people either avoid the book at all costs or have an unhealthy obsession about it; and neither are good. Revelation isn't supposed to scare you, it's supposed to prepare you for the return of King Jesus. Revelation reveals that you can't just hear about Jesus through someone else's description, you have to truly experience the power and grace that He has for yourself to truly get it. But don't wait too long because Jesus is coming back soon enough; but some day soon enough will be too late. Don't make Jesus wait on you. END OF THE WORLD TOUR | PT 1 Hosted on Acast. Nobody likes to be in a season of suffering, but that doesn't mean we have to be shocked by it. We live in a broken world where things are going to deeply hurt us. But Peter tells us that we should not only expect suffering in this life, but to embrace it and endure it. We are blessed to be suffering in the name of Jesus Christ. But more than that, when we are suffering, don't pray for God to just take away your suffering. Pray that he'll take you with him and trust that he's got you. Great marriages are built on unwavering commitment to covenant, and nothing in like takes a harder hit than your relationships if you don't take care of them. In 1 Peter chapter 3, Peter takes us through the relationships husbands and wives ought to strive for in each other through the meaning of Biblical submission and the respect needed to keep it strong. When we feel like we've lost our way or feel unworthy of God's presence/glory, REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE! Peter tells us in chapter 2 that we are living stones to be used as cornerstones in Christ, we are holy priests to represent God to common people, and we're His chosen people. Jesus chose all of us when he died on the cross. And even when Peter denied him three times and fled the crucifixion, Jesus still sought him out and redeemed him afterward. You're never too lost or too far gone for Jesus. WHEN LIFE GETS HARD PT. 3 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

To be holy is to be set apart by God for God. So when life hits you like a whirlwind and whirlwind and you're struggling to figure out what to do, remember that the word of God will always hold you up and never hold you down. But this world will always hold you down; it'll never hold you up. WHEN LIFE GETS HARD PT 2 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Christianity was hard, is hard, and will be hard. But it's worth it. So When Life Gets Hard, just hold on. Hold on because you're a chosen child of God, hold onto living hope, and hold onto joy. Don't you ever forget that our God's protective shield is more powerful than any of the enemy's attacks; but it's still up to you to get behind His shield and trust that He's got you. The students have taken over Lifepointe Church in droves and our Student Pastor, Chandler Prazak, delivers a powerful message for the parents of students. As amazing as youth ministry can be, it can't operate on its own from the family ministry that starts in your home. It needs to operate alongside it rather than fully replacing it. If you want your kids to love God, YOU HAVE TO LOVE GOD! Show them that you read your Bible and pray to Him. Be a shining example for them and train them in the way of Jesus so that they're well equipped for the world that's out there. Don't just protect them, but prepare them. To close out our summer series, Pastor Ridge takes us through Matthew 7:1-5 and where Jesus asks us to first take the plank out of your own eye before taking the speck out of your brother's. We must remember that being judgmental doesn't mean using good judgment. Instead of exalting yourself before others, you have to humble yourself to become exalted. Stay in your lane and ask God "What needs to change in me?" SUMMER ON THE MOUNT PT 6 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

You ever notice how someone may act different when they know people are watching? Or maybe they flex and gloat when they're graciously giving or even fasting to others. In Matthew 6, Jesus warns us to not act like the Pharisees who did these things in public for others to see. Instead, he calls us to do it in secret because our Heavenly Father will see it and reward us with eternal life with HIM! If you find yourself falling into this trap, ask yourself if your audience disappears, does the practice still continue? SUMMER ON THE MOUNT PT 4 Hosted on Acast. This week for out Summer on the Mount series, we had guest Pastor Gray Gardner of the future Hill City Church in Rock Hill, SC speak on how we need to be not just Christians but disciples of Christ. Disciples are meant to be distinct and visible, and we need to be the salt and flavor in people's spiritual lives. In order to live like Jesus you need to recognize that you're not the main character of your story (He is), you're a missionary for spreading His Gospel, and you have to BE with Him in order to BECOME like Him. Pray over Gray and Hill City Church as they plan on opening in the fall this year in Rock Hill, SC! SUMMER ON THE MOUNT PT 2 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

To kickoff our summer series, we'll be diving into the greatest message ever told by the greatest preacher of all time: The Sermon on the Mount by Jesus Christ. During this message, Pastor Nate will be combing through the Beatitudes and how Jesus lays down what it takes to be a true follower of Christ. The unfortunate thing is that we don't have what it takes to complete them all; but luckily we don't have to because of Jesus' sacrifice.

SUMMER ON THE MOUNT PT. 1

Hosted on Acast.
It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that you have first and direct rights to the money that you earn. You worked those hours and the paycheck is addressed to you, isn't it? But what if we told you that what's yours is actually God's first. Everything you have and will have belongs to God first and foremost, that's why it's so important to give it back to Him and trust that he will bless your life in ways that you couldn't imagine; all you have to do is trust Him and give back to the provider.<...
