76. The Future Doesn't Happen to You. You Build It with Brian David Johnson
Sep 7, 202636 min
The future often feels unpredictable, especially as technology reshapes how we live, work, and make decisions. But what if the future isn't something that simply happens to us? What if the most important question isn't what AI will do next, but what kind of future we want to create for ourselves? In this episode, I am sharing one of my favorite conversations with, Brian David Johnson, futurist, engineer, professor, and former Chief Futurist at Intel, to explore the power of agency in an age of accelerating innovation. We discuss future casting, the importance of human centered technology, why trust must remain at the core of every technological advancement, and how curiosity and optimism shape better outcomes than fear ever will. Whether you're leading a business, advising clients, or simply thinking about your own future, this conversation is a reminder that the strongest decisions begin by understanding what matters most and intentionally building toward it. 75. Why Better Questions Lead to Better Investment Decisions with John Cole Scott
Sep 1, 202629 min
Clients rarely walk into an advisor's office asking for a specific investment product. They come looking for confidence. Reliable income. Greater flexibility. Protection from uncertainty. The advisor's job is not to start with a solution. It's to first understand the problem the client is trying to solve. In this episode, John Cole Scott shares why specialization matters, how decades of studying closed-end funds have shaped his perspective on investor behavior, and why the future of wealth management belongs to advisors who understand people before portfolios. We discuss behavioral coaching, investor psychology, niche expertise, AI, and why having more investment options only creates value when they're connected to what clients actually need. As technology continues to expand access to information and investment research, differentiation will come less from knowing more products and more from asking better questions. Because clients don't remember the investment you recommended. They remember whether you understood what they were trying to accomplish. Connect with us! 72. Joe Duran on Why Great Financial Advice Starts with Understanding People
Aug 4, 202654 min
Few people have shaped modern wealth management like Joe Duran. As the founder of United Capital, Joe transformed a startup into one of the nation's largest Registered Investment Advisors before its $750 million acquisition by Goldman Sachs, where he became a Partner and CEO of Personal Financial Management. Before that, he founded Centurion Capital, which was acquired by GE, where he led the wealth management business that later became AssetMark. Across three decades, Joe has consistently challenged conventional thinking and helped redefine what great financial advice looks like. In this conversation, Joe shares what he's learned from building category-defining companies, advising thousands of financial professionals, and pioneering the integration of behavioral finance into the advisory process long before it became mainstream. Together, we explore the future of RIAs, the impact of AI, private equity's influence on the industry, why investment performance is no longer a differentiator, and how the most successful firms of the next decade will create value by understanding people before building portfolios. Joe explains why the future belongs to advisors who combine technology with humanity, create unforgettable client experiences, and help clients make better life decisions, not simply better investment decisions. Whether you're an independent advisor, RIA leader, enterprise executive, or simply passionate about the future of wealth management, this episode offers rare insights from one of the industry's most influential entrepreneurs and visionaries. Most advisory firms believe they need more marketing. More content. More campaigns. More visibility. But what if the real challenge is not getting noticed? What if it is making sure people truly understand the value you already create? In this episode, we explore why communication has become one of the biggest competitive advantages in wealth management. We discuss how firms can move beyond generic messaging, why storytelling creates stronger client relationships than product descriptions, and how authentic brands are built through consistency rather than volume. From organic growth and advisor differentiation to AI and the future of marketing, this conversation challenges firms to rethink how they communicate with prospects, clients, and their own teams. Because the firms that grow are not always the loudest. They are the ones people remember. Connect with us! Marla Sofer on LinkedIn Knomee Molly McClure on LinekdIn OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners
70. Why Your Growth and Tech Strategies Are the Same Thread with Erica Rodrigues and Morgan Bell
Jul 21, 202628 min
How do the fastest-growing wealth management firms shift from accidental growth to intentional design? In this episode of the Knowing Me, Knowing You podcast, Marla sits down with Erica Rodrigues and Morgan Bell from the Strategic Advisory Group at Constellation Wealth Capital. Together, they dive into why a firm’s growth engine and technology stack are not two separate strategies, but two ends of the exact same hallway. Erica breaks down the "marketing maturity curve," the power of choosing a hyper-specific niche, and why growth must be owned by leadership rather than outsourced to a single rainmaker. Meanwhile, Morgan provides a tech and behavioral finance perspective, sharing how modern tech tools are evolving to help advisors shift from selling to solving by embedding deep client discovery directly into their everyday workflows. They also discuss practical tips for driving advisor tech adoption and share how their deeply personal origin stories and family dynamics completely shaped their own relationships with money. Whether you are a multi-billion dollar RIA looking to scale or a boutique firm looking to optimize your marketing infrastructure, this episode offers a practical blueprint for the future of wealth management advice. Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
