Lucas and Luna dissect the behavioral and case-based interview process, moving beyond generic advice to examine what hiring managers at top consulting firms, investment banks, and tech companies actually look for. Each episode focuses on a specific question type or scenario: why 'Tell me about a time you failed' is often a trick question, how to structure a market-sizing case without panicking, or what to say when you don't know the answer. Lucas brings the journalist's instinct for what interviewers are really probing; Luna presses for concrete examples from real candidates who succeeded or bombed. Together they reconstruct actual interview loops — from the initial phone screen to the partner round — analyzing the logic behind each question and how to prepare a narrative that is both honest and compelling. They also address the less-discussed aspects: how to handle curveball questions, when to ask your own questions, and how to follow up after a rejection. This is not a pep talk or a

Why Your Best Story Fails in Behavioral Interviews
Sep 12, 202612 minS4
Most candidates memorize a polished success story and recite it like a script. Hiring managers can spot the performance from a mile away, which is why so many strong applicants get rejected despite having perfect resumes. In this episode, Lucas and Luna break down the STAR method, but with a crucial twist: they focus on the 'A' for Action and the specific mental models behind it. We look at how to replace generic teamwork claims with concrete decision-making evidence, using real-world examples from tech hiring panels. If you've ever felt your interview went well but heard nothing back, this episode reveals the hidden signal you might be missing and how to recalibrate your answers to show strategic thinking rather than just task completion. #BehavioralInterviews #STARMethod #HiringManagerInsights #CareerAdvice #InterviewTips #JobSearchStrategy #TechCareers #LeadershipSkills #CandidateExperience #ResumeTips #SoftSkills #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #CareerGrowth #InterviewPrep #ProfessionalDevelopment #WorkplaceCulture #DecisionMaking Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Most candidates fail not because they lack experience, but because they deliver rehearsed narratives instead of raw data. In this episode, we examine how the STAR method often flattens candidate potential into generic corporate speak. Lucas and Luna break down why hiring managers at top firms in September 2026 are rejecting polished answers in favor of messy, specific decision logs. We look at a real case where a candidate’s refusal to simplify their failure cost them the role, and another where granular transparency won it. Learn how to replace vague competence with concrete proof. #CareerAdvice #InterviewStrategy #HiringManagers #BehavioralQuestions #STARMethod #JobSearchTips #ProfessionalDevelopment #CorporateCulture #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #LucasAndLuna #CareerGrowth #WorkplaceSkills #InterviewCoaching #DecisionMaking #TransparencyAtWork #JobOffers #CareerMoves Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Most candidates treat interviews as a test of past performance, but hiring managers are actually scoring future potential. We break down the specific framework used by top tech and finance firms to evaluate 'learning agility' and 'executive presence.' Using a real-world case study from a mid-level management hire at a major logistics firm, we reveal why two equally qualified resumes lead to completely different outcomes based on how they handle ambiguous problem-solving questions. This episode covers the three hidden metrics: adaptability under pressure, cross-functional influence, and the ability to pivot strategy without losing momentum. #CareerGrowth #HiringManager #InterviewStrategy #BehavioralQuestions #ExecutivePresence #LearningAgility #PotentialOverExperience #LeadershipSkills #CorporateCareers #JobSearchTips #ManagementHiring #TechIndustryJobs #FinanceCareers #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #LucasAndLuna #ProfessionalDevelopment #CareerAdvice Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Hiring managers don't ask about failure to hear a humble-brag. They are stress-testing your ability to process mistakes without collapsing or deflecting. This episode breaks down the cognitive load of a genuine post-mortem, using a specific logistics example where a missed deadline revealed a systemic gap. We explore why perfect candidates often fail because they treat errors as anomalies rather than data points. Learn how to structure your answer to show accountability and system-level thinking, not just personal remorse. #CareerAdvice #JobInterviews #HiringManagers #BehavioralQuestions #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #ProfessionalDevelopment #LeadershipSkills #WorkplaceCulture #MistakeManagement #Accountability #GrowthMindset #CorporateJobs #InterviewTips #CareerCoaching #SoftSkills #Teamwork #ProblemSolving Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
