Episode 328: To Kill a Soccerbird
Saints have gone full Attenborough this week, putting two of the Championship's feathered friends firmly on the endangered species list! First up, the Swans were well and truly plucked as Saints put table-topping Swansea City to the sword with a superb 3-1 victory at St. Mary's. Finn Azaz, Cyle Larin and Léo Scienza got amongst the goals as we turned the Swans into sitting ducks. And just when we thought the aviary might have been spared, along came Bristol City's Robins. They didn't chirp for long. A rampant Saints followed up the Swansea win with a thumping 4-1 victory over Bristol City, with Larin helping himself to another two goals before Kuryu Matsuki and Finn Azaz completed the bird massacre. That's two birds down in four days. The Saints have gone from panic over throwing away leads to apparently deciding that anything with wings is fair game. Elsewhere, the trio of Ray, Kevin and the returning Tom look at Cyle Larin's Golden Boot charge, Saints' home form and from Welsh birds to Welsh dragons (they have wings) - as Saints head to The Racecourse Ground. Wrexham will be desperate for a response after a brutal 6-0 defeat at West Ham, while Saints arrive with confidence sky-high after putting seven goals past Swansea and Bristol City across their last two games. Can the Saints now slay the dragon? Or will Wrexham breathe fire and bring us crashing back down? All that, plus the usual ITN nonsence, arguments, overreactions and probably at least one completely unnecessary bird pun. Episode 328 - To Kill a Soccerbird. Two birds down. One dragon to go.
