Most hiring advice is vague. This show is not. Lucas and Luna examine the actual mechanics of talent acquisition and workforce reduction: how to structure a behavioral interview, how to evaluate a candidate's long-term potential beyond the résumé, and how to manage a layoff with dignity and legal safety. They walk through real corporate cases — from Google's Project Oxygen to Amazon's 'Pivot' performance-improvement plans — and dissect the numbers behind hiring yields, employee churn, and the cost of a bad hire. Each episode focuses on a single decision point: writing a job description that attracts the right applicants, reading between the lines of a reference check, or deciding when to cut someone loose versus invest in coaching. Luna brings the HR-operations perspective (recruiting budgets, compliance risks, onboarding metrics), while Lucas challenges assumptions with economic data (labor-market tightness, wage-growth trends, productivity correlations). The Hidden Cost of Internal Promotions
Sep 12, 20269 minS4
Internal promotions often create the Peter Principle effect where employees rise to their level of incompetence. This episode examines why companies that promote too quickly lose top performers and how structured competency mapping can prevent costly leadership failures in today's competitive labor market. #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #HiringAndFiring #InternalPromotions #PeterPrinciple #LeadershipDevelopment #WorkforceStrategy #TalentManagement #CareerGrowth #CorporateCulture #EmployeeRetention #ManagementSkills #PerformanceReview #HRStrategy #OrganizationalBehavior #PromotionPolicy #BusinessGrowth #ProfessionalDevelopment Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
How Skills-Based Hiring Reshapes Your Talent Pipeline
Sep 11, 202611 minS4
Traditional job descriptions are costing companies millions in mis-hires and lost productivity. In this episode, we examine the structural shift toward skills-based hiring, using concrete data from recent labor market reports to show how removing degree requirements and focusing on demonstrable competencies can expand your talent pool by over forty percent. We look at specific roles where this model works best, the hidden friction in assessing soft skills, and why many firms fail when they try to scale it without updating their internal compensation bands. Lucas and Luna break down the mechanics of a successful pivot, including how to write job postings that actually attract the right candidates and how to structure interview loops to test for capability rather than pedigree. This is not just about being progressive; it is about solving the acute shortage of qualified mid-level workers in a tight labor market as of September twenty twenty-six. #SkillsBasedHiring #TalentAcquisition #RecruitmentStrategy #WorkforcePlanning #BusinessPodcast #FexingoBusiness #HRInnovation #JobDescriptionOverhaul #DiversityAndInclusion #LaborMarketTrends #HiringProcess #CompetencyMapping #EmployeeRetention #CorporateTraining #FutureOfWork #HumanResources #BusinessLeadership #OrganizationalDesign Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
In a market where September 2026 shows persistent labor shortages, companies are doubling down on culture fit screenings. But as Lucas and Luna explore through the lens of a mid-sized logistics firm that lost three key engineers to homogeneity, we examine how 'culture fit' often masks unconscious bias. The episode breaks down the shift toward 'culture add' metrics, offering a concrete framework for hiring managers to spot diverse perspectives without sacrificing team cohesion. Discover why some firms now measure cultural contribution rather than conformity. #HiringStrategy #CultureFitVsAdd #UnconsciousBias #DiversityAndInclusion #RecruitmentTrends #EmployeeRetention #TeamCohesion #HiringManagerTips #WorkplaceCulture #BusinessPodcast #FexingoBusiness #LucasAndLuna #CorporateHR #TalentAcquisition #OrganizationalBehavior #LeadershipDevelopment #Sept2026Business #FairHiring Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Why Senior Leaders Are Quietly Cutting Their Own Pay
Sep 9, 20269 minS4
In a surprising shift visible across the S&P 500 as of September 2026, chief executives are voluntarily reducing their base salaries, sometimes to one dollar. This isn't just PR theater. We explore the real economic rationale behind this trend, looking at how aligning executive pay with shareholder value through equity can actually lower agency costs and signal genuine confidence in long-term growth rather than short-term stock bumps. #ExecutiveCompensation #CEOPayCut #ShareholderValue #AgencyCosts #EquityBasedPay #CorporateGovernance #BusinessStrategy #LeadershipTrends #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #FinanceNews #HiringAndFiring #WorkforceDecisions #EconomicSignals #StockOptions #PerformanceMetrics #CFOInsights #BoardOfDirectors Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
In this episode of Hiring and Firing, Lucas and Luna explore the real financial impact of salary transparency on employee retention. We dive into a specific case study where a mid-sized tech firm implemented full pay visibility, resulting in a twenty-two percent drop in voluntary turnover within twelve months. The hosts break down the math behind the hidden costs of bad hires, including recruiting fees and lost productivity, and discuss how transparency builds trust that outweighs the initial shock to existing compensation structures. They also examine data from recent surveys showing that candidates are increasingly willing to reject offers when pay ranges are vague, making transparency a competitive hiring advantage rather than just an ethical choice. This deep dive connects workforce strategy directly to the bottom line, offering actionable insights for business leaders navigating the tight labor market of September 2026. #SalaryTransparency #EmployeeRetention #HiringStrategy #WorkforceAnalytics #CompensationBands #TurnoverReduction #BusinessLeadership #HRTechnology #PayEquity #TalentAcquisition #OrganizationalCulture #RecruitmentCosts #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #FinanceNews #CareerAdvice #ManagementTips #LaborMarket Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
