We’re continuing our series on the appointed festivals of the Bible, diving into the Feast of Unleavened Bread and how this appointed time points us to Yeshua and reveals another part of the redemption story woven throughout Scripture. After the Passover, the Israelites were commanded to leave Egypt in haste. There was no time for their bread to rise, so they ate unleavened bread as they left. But what was God revealing through this command? And why did He establish seven days where His people were to remove leaven from their homes? Throughout Scripture, leaven becomes a powerful picture of sin, corruption, and what can spread throughout us. The Feast of Unleavened Bread calls God’s people to remove the leaven and walk in obedience as they leave their old life behind. And when we look at this festival through the lens of Yeshua, we see an even deeper picture. Yeshua is the Bread of Life, and His sinless life points us to the unleavened bread that was set apart to God. In this episode, we’ll dive into the biblical meaning of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, why God commanded His people to remove leaven, the connection between leaven and sin, and how this appointed festival foreshadows Yeshua and the freedom He brings.
