Full Game Highs: Golden Knights' Comeback Bid Falls Short in 4-3 Loss to Ducks
The Vegas Golden Knights (1-1-0) fell to the Anaheim Ducks (1-0-0), 4-3, on Friday night at T-Mobile Arena. Anaheim scored four unanswered goals in the first two periods, taking a 4-0 lead into the third. Beckett Sennecke scored with eight seconds left in the first, while Alex Killorn and Jeff Malott scored 55 seconds apart before Leo Carlsson added another. Vegas mounted a comeback in the third. Shea Theodore scored five minutes into the period, followed by Tomas Hertl’s power-play goal 1:30 later. Jack Eichel assisted on both goals, giving him five points through two games. Braeden Bowman then scored with 2:50 remaining to cut the deficit to one, but the Golden Knights couldn’t complete the comeback, falling 4-3.
