Dr. Abraham has dedicated her life’s work to helping people across the entire lifespan of mental health, with a special focus on forensic and acute psychotic patients. Her approach to care is rooted in compassion, perseverance, and the belief that patient care should always remain a provider’s priority. Her journey into healthcare was inspired by her parents. Her father, a veteran who served post-Korean War, modeled hard work and perseverance. Her mother, an educational assistant, encouraged her to pursue the work she felt called to do. That calling led Dr. Abraham into a life of service, education, advocacy, and mental health care. Dr. Abraham is the owner and sole psychiatric nurse practitioner at CLR Mind Psychiatry and also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Christian Brothers University and Missouri Baptist College. She is a proud alumna of the University of Tennessee at Martin and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She holds a doctoral degree from Abilene Christian University and a post-graduate degree as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Union University. Her professional accomplishments include being nominated as a Healthcare Hero by the Memphis Business Journal in 2018, receiving the Inspire Award from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2021, being featured in Memphis Voyager, serving as an expert commentator for POPSUGAR, and being named the 2026 Remarkable Woman for Memphis, Tennessee by Nexstar and WREG. Dr. Abraham is also published in the Journal of Black Nurses Association and contributed to Shared Governance: A Practical Approach to Transforming Interprofessional Healthcare, Fourth Edition. Through her volunteer work and speaking engagements, she continues to educate teenagers and communities about mental health awareness, access, and support.
