Finding Purpose

After graduating from seminary, Russ was unsure of God's leading. He and his wife had been discussing the idea of beginning a new ministry geared toward men. Russ opened his Bible up to 2 Samuel 7, where he had left off the prior day. Verse 3 leapt off the page. It read, "Whatever you have in mind, go ahead and do it for the Lord is with you." At that moment, Finding Purpose was born. Russ says that "looking back, I can say that Finding Purpose was God-breathed by His Word."Since that moment in 2003, Finding Purpose has been all about helping men find their purpose in life. Augustine said it well: "O God, You made us for Yourself, and man's heart is restless until it rests in Thee!"

  Ep.38 Willful Rebellion! - Hosea- Week 8

  Sep 30, 202638 minS7

In this episode of Finding Purpose with Russ Andrews, Russ takes us into Hosea chapter 8 and explores the biblical warning to "sound the trumpet" when danger is approaching. Drawing from the role of the watchman in Scripture, he examines six ways Israel rebelled against God, including breaking His covenant, knowing about God without truly knowing Him, rejecting His Word, embracing idolatry, and becoming religious while remaining spiritually lost. Russ then connects these biblical lessons to the spiritual condition of America and emphasizes the need for Christians to return to Scripture, humble themselves, pray, confess their sins, and seek revival. Discover why Russ believes the answer to a nation's deepest problems begins with God's people and the restoration of biblical truth in our homes, churches, and communities.

  Ep.37 Godless Leadership! - Hosea- Week 7

  Sep 23, 202634 minS7

In this episode of Finding Purpose, Russ Andrews takes us through Hosea 7 and examines four powerful pictures of Israel's sinful rebellion: a heated oven, a half-cooked pancake, a silly dove, and a treacherous bow. Through these images, we're reminded that God sees our sin, calls His people to repentance, and desires faithfulness rather than compromise with the culture around us. Russ challenges believers to stop focusing only on the problems "out there" and instead examine their own hearts, walk in obedience, and live as a faithful witness for Christ. He also shares the hope of the Gospel, calling those who do not know Jesus to repent, place their faith in Him, and find salvation and rest in Christ.
