Fertile Walk 2026: Why Community, Movement, and Hope Matter on the Fertility Journey (Episode 103)
Registration for Fertile Walk 2026 is now open (more info below or in the link): https://forms.gle/eWhs45hXN92WGkdVA The Quest For Fertility is out now on Amazon In this special episode of Fertile Talks , Dr. Yemi Famuyiwa shares the story and purpose behind Fertile Walk 2026 , a community event created to bring people together around fertility, reproductive health, wellness, and hope. She explains why infertility can feel so isolating and how simply being surrounded by people who understand can help break that silence. Dr. Famuyiwa also explores the role of movement in lifelong health, emphasizing that walking is not a cure for infertility and should never be used to blame someone for their fertility challenges. Instead, movement can support cardiovascular health, insulin sensitivity, sleep, and emotional well-being while people receive appropriate medical care. She also discusses the importance of including men in the fertility conversation, supporting first responders and their families, and creating a welcoming space for patients, partners, family members, healthcare professionals, and the broader community. Fertile Walk 2026 takes place Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 9:00 AM in Rockville, Maryland, with the theme “Together We Walk. Together We Hope.” The morning will include a community walk, guided movement, fertility and general health education, male reproductive health education, and a special Tai Chi session. This episode is a reminder that while community cannot replace medical treatment, no one should have to carry the fertility journey entirely alone.
