Every weekday, Lucas and Luna examine the forces that shape global energy markets — from OPEC production quotas and Brent crude benchmarks to the levelized cost of solar and wind. They dissect how policy announcements, storage breakthroughs, and shifting demand from China to Europe reprice the barrel and the kilowatt-hour. The conversations are tied to specific data: this week's EIA inventory report, the latest IRENA cost study, a named utility's coal-to-renewables transition. Lucas frames the macro picture — reserve currencies, inflation pass-through, sovereign risk — while Luna presses on real-world implications for manufacturers, commuters, and portfolio managers. No hot takes; just the actual numbers behind the headlines. For listeners who need to understand not just what oil or electricity costs today, but why — and what that means for the next investment, contract, or policy decision. Who wins and who loses when the price of power shifts by a dollar?#EnergyEconomics #OilPrices #

The AI Power Crisis Is Reshaping Energy Markets
Sep 14, 202611 minS4
We break down why electricity demand from data centers is now the single biggest driver of energy policy, outpacing even oil price volatility. With WTI crude at 97 dollars and natural gas hovering near 2.81 dollars per million British thermal units, we explore how massive power consumption is creating a new economic reality for utilities and traditional energy stocks. The conversation covers the grid bottleneck, the shift toward baseload power, and what this means for your monthly bill in late September 2026. #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #EnergyEconomics #DataCenters #ElectricityDemand #GridInfrastructure #AIInvestment #PowerMarkets #NaturalGas #NuclearEnergy #UtilityStocks #InflationData #TechPolicy #CleanEnergyTransition #BaseloadPower #CPIReport #FederalReserve #EconomicGrowth Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
A vessel strike in the Strait of Hormuz has sent WTI crude to one hundred dollars and Brent to over one hundred nine dollars in just five days. Lucas and Luna unpack how this single geopolitical flashpoint is rewriting risk premiums, squeezing refiners who thought they had a margin buffer, and testing the resilience of global supply chains. With natural gas prices slipping and AI data centers straining the grid, we look at why oil volatility is back with a vengeance while other energy sectors sit still. The conversation drills into the mechanics of the chokepoint, the immediate impact on gasoline markets, and what this spike means for inflation expectations heading into the fall. #OilPrices #StraitOfHormuz #EnergyEconomics #WTICrude #BrentCrude #GeopoliticalRisk #SupplyChainShock #GasolineMarkets #NaturalGas #InflationData #EnergyTransition #GridInfrastructure #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #LucasAndLuna #CommodityMarkets #EnergyPolicy #GlobalTrade Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Crude oil has just completed a dramatic roundtrip back to one hundred dollars per barrel, with Brent touching one hundred and nine dollars. But this rally isn't about supply cuts or geopolitical panic in the Middle East. It is about demand. We look at how Chinese industrial activity and strategic reserve buying are quietly reshaping the global energy market, pushing prices higher while natural gas remains depressed. With inflation data showing core consumer prices still sticky, understanding the driver behind today's energy spike is critical for investors watching the broader economic picture. #OilPrices #ChinaDemand #EnergyEconomics #BrentCrude #WTI #GlobalMarkets #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #Commodities #Inflation #IndustrialOutput #StrategicReserves #EnergyTransition #Macroeconomics #LucasAndLuna #MarketAnalysis #SupplyAndDemand #Geopolitics Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Lucas and Luna examine why the US power grid is becoming the primary bottleneck for economic growth in late 2026. With WTI crude oil near ninety seven dollars and inflation ticking up, the focus shifts from fuel costs to transmission capacity. They analyze how interconnection queues are delaying renewable projects and forcing data centers to rely on natural gas, creating a new dynamic between fossil fuels and clean energy adoption. #EnergyEconomics #PowerGrid #RenewableEnergy #TransmissionCapacity #DataCenters #NaturalGas #Inflation2026 #Infrastructure #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #Economics #CleanTech #OilPrices #ElectricityMarkets #GridModernization #EnergyTransition #LucasAndLuna #Investing Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
The Oil Shock That Is Reshaping US Inflation Expectations
Sep 10, 202614 minS4
Crude oil has surged past one hundred dollars a barrel, pushing Brent near one hundred and ten, while gasoline prices hold steady above four dollars. This episode dissects the immediate impact of this energy spike on core inflation metrics like the CPI and PCE. We explore why breakeven inflation rates remain flat at two point three seven percent despite the price shock, and what this divergence means for Federal Reserve rate hike expectations. Lucas and Luna break down the mechanics of how energy costs feed into the broader economy right now in September twenty twenty six. #OilPrices #InflationData #FederalReserve #EnergyEconomics #CPIReport #PCEIndex #BrentCrude #WTICrude #GasolinePrices #InterestRates #BreakevenInflation #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #Macroeconomics #MonetaryPolicy #SupplyChainCosts #ConsumerSpending #EnergyTransition Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
