Dr. Dean Vicksman, a Denver native, graduated with honors from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He was subsequently accepted into the internship program for advanced training in small animal medicine and surgery at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston. From 1987 to 2021, he co-owned and directed Evans East Animal Hospital and founded Denver Cat Hospital in 2019. Dr. Vicksman’s personal interests include skiing and martial arts. He holds a second-degree black belt in Peoples Kenpo Karate and contributes as a guest speaker on ABC Channel 7 and FOX31 News pet segments. He is currently serving as President of the EveryCat Health Foundation, Secretary of the State Board of Veterinary Medicine in Colorado, and Advisory Board member of the Grey Muzzle Organization.
