Episode #60
Ep. 60: The Kaboom Boys Documentary
In episode 60 of the podcast, I talk with Sean Dennis, United States Bomb Technician Association (USBTA) President, and Tim Gray, World War II Foundation Founder, about the upcoming documentary, The Kaboom Boys. The Kaboom Boys is based on the book, The Kaboom Boys: A Call to War, by Elaine Hume Peake and Don Keith, about Edward Hume's time as a US Army Bomb demolition expert in World War II. The Documentary is an amazing project that brings to life on the screen an accurate account of the heroics that took place while difusing bombs in the aftermath of D-Day. It also captures how technology for EOD Technicians has changed through the times, as well as how the people drawn to the profession has largely stayed the same. Amazing individuals who learn to function as a team. At the end of the podcast I was graciously allowed to put the trailer for the documentary. If you feel inclined to donate to the project please do so using the link below. It is going to be a visually appealing, accurate, and emotional way to tell the story of EOD from the beginning.
