Ep 485: Quiet Mindedness
We're going to drive through the city of our minds. What does that mean? If you think about it, your mind holds many different "cities." There is a city of worry, fear, doubt, and shame. There is also a city of positivity. And within each of these are smaller spaces. Even within worry, there can be effort, hope, and trying. Within shame, there can be healing and growth. There are many cities in our minds, and it can get loud in there. There is constant noise, like people arguing back and forth. If you've ever seen older movies set in big cities where people are shouting on the streets, that kind of energy actually existed. I experienced something similar growing up. People would sit outside and call out to each other across the street. It was loud and direct. That is what it can feel like inside your mind. But not all of your mental "cities" are chaotic. You also have peaceful places. You have a spa-like calm, a forest, a beach. All of these exist at the same time. The question is, which one are you going to visit? Which one are you choosing to drive to today? One of the first audios I created was designed as a mental journey to help shift your state. It guided people into a calm, expansive space so they could transform how they think and feel. Because the cities in your mind can be busy and conflicting. There is traffic. There are competing voices. And often, there are no clear stop signals to slow things down. If you are not intentional, you can end up in chaos, in negativity, or in a mental space that drains your energy. Getting to clarity takes effort. It takes direction. Most people avoid that because it feels like extra work. But just like using a GPS, you have to choose your destination. What city are you guiding your mind toward? Take a moment to think about the cities you visit most often. Some may not be very helpful. Some may be creative and expansive. Some may be neutral, where nothing really changes. Many people spend time in worry, anxiety, or repetition. That "in-between" space can feel like living the same day over and over, without moving toward your full potential. But it is a choice. You can decide where to go. So ask yourself: what city do you want to visit? And are you willing to guide yourself there? If you need support in getting to a better mental space and creating the results you want, reach out. ---- Follow & Let's Get in Touch!
