Why We Love The Way We Do Part 2
Last episode, we traced the patterns that shape the way we love. In Part 2, we ask what happens when we begin to heal. Lauren and Andrew explore how healing changes romantic relationships, family dynamics, boundaries, and the way peace feels after years of survival mode. They talk about confusing chemistry with familiarity, recognizing red flags sooner, grieving the version of yourself who kept everyone comfortable, and learning that some relationships grow with you while others fall away. Healing doesn’t make us perfect. It helps us regulate, choose authenticity over chaos, and stop abandoning ourselves to keep others. Healthy love may feel quieter, but it makes room for safety, consistency, mutual effort, repair, and the freedom to be fully yourself.
