"Lessons written in blood" should never be forgotten
Twenty-five years after September 11, America appears to be forgetting the lessons written in blood that day. Instead of uniting against terrorism, we now see extremists celebrated, terrorist organizations defended and violence excused as “resistance.” Terrorism does not seek peace or coexistence. It targets those who disagree, silences opposition and murders innocent people who simply want to live their lives. This week on CUFI Weekly, we examine what has changed since 9/11—and why confronting terrorism and the ideology that fuels it remains as urgent as ever.
