Yet the jar, the nets, and even Isaac were not bad things—and some were placed back into their hands. Following Jesus does not always mean walking away from our work, our dreams, or the people and things we love. Sometimes surrender simply changes our grip. We still work, build, love, plan, and hope, but we stop asking those things to provide the security only God can give. We hold them with gratitude instead of grasping them with fear, remembering that everything entrusted to us ultimately belongs to Him.
