Vullum , Polish saxophonist Jerzy Mączyński and Swiss drummer Nicolas Stocker . With its roots and meaning coming from a specific region on the North-Westcoast of Norway, ALLVEI describes an eternity in time, and the endlessness in space. It’s a musical and physical journey that begins deep in the mountains of Norway via Warsaw, Zürich and ends in Kristiania. It’s a fitting name for the trio’s musical experiments, operating in a continuous evolving sonic space. Spearheaded by Vullum, with his background as a key contributor to the Oslo experimental/electronic scene, ‘ALLVEI – S/T’ was recorded over two sessions before and after a run of audiovisual shows the trio performed in collaboration with the Polish Visual Artist Katarzyna Dębska in Norway and Poland. Adopting Vullum’s background as a sound designer, the form and shape of the compositions hold a strong influence on the dynamics and the narrative elements in the music. Eivind Johansson Vullum is a Norwegian guitarist, composer, sound artist and DJ. Since the early 2000s he has been active in many projects , including kraut/psych-pop four-piece Sally Suicide. Venturing into electronic music, he was one half of the hardware techno duo Bloksberg, which made a name for itself with its leftfield techno in clubs and festivals both inside and outside Norway, including Roskilde Festival, CMJ, In the City, Øyanatt/BLÅ Oslo. In 2023, he released his debut solo album ‘Ohms Love’ on HMD Records. Jerzy Mączyński began his career in free jazz and contemporary jazz, and after several years of creative exploration, he gradually transitioned into electronic music, blending different musical approaches to develop his own unique musical language. Nicolas Stocker has established an international reputation as a melodic and highly sensitive drummer. His utilisation of polyrhythms and textural layers, coupled with his feel for melody have created a distinct, and recognizable, sound. He is part of the post-genre group KALI Trio and holds a central role in Nik Bärtsch’s Mobile ensemble.
