#090: When You’re the Only One in the Room: How to Stay Yourself
Aug 31, 202615 min
Have you ever entered a room and immediately noticed that no one looked, moved, thought, or lived quite like you? Maybe you were the only artist, the only person from your background, the only queer person, the only neurodivergent person—or simply the one who felt different before anyone had said a word. In this intimate solo conversation, Dwight speaks to the tender work of staying in the room anyway. He reflects on the instinct to scan for safety, the exhaustion of trying to make yourself more acceptable, and the small hurts that can come when people are careless with what they do not understand. But this is not a call to pretend that difference is easy. It is an invitation to meet those moments with more choice, more self-possession, and more compassion—for yourself and for the people still learning how to see beyond their own experience. For every creative who has felt like an outlier, this episode is a quiet reminder: you are not a problem to solve. You are a person with something real to bring into the room. #089: The Creative Fear Behind “Who Do You Think You Are?”
Aug 24, 202627 min
Have you ever looked at the work you’re making and wondered whether it matters—or whether it will simply disappear into the noise before anyone truly sees it? In this quiet solo conversation, Dwight sits with the ache behind that question: the fear that your creative contribution is too small, too messy, or not impressive enough to count. He reflects on the hard, human truth that growth rarely begins with confidence. More often, it begins with trying something before we feel ready, getting it wrong, and discovering that we survived. From learning a daunting task on a plane to attempting water skiing for the first time, this episode is an invitation to loosen the grip of the inner voice that asks, “Who do you think you are?” Not by arguing with it, but by taking one small, honest step anyway. What if the work you keep dismissing is not trash or a detour—but one meaningful tile in the larger mosaic of your creative life? This is Maddox & Dwight! #088: Guillermo Rios Paints the Memories That Made Him
Aug 17, 202654 min
What changes when you stop asking whether your work belongs—and begin listening for what it is asking to become? Guillermo Rios creates one-of-a-kind wearable art from denim, paint, memory, and intuition. But beneath the striking black-and-white jackets is a deeper story: growing up between Mexico and the United States, honoring the people and places that formed him, and finding the courage to let his own voice lead. In this conversation, Guillermo shares the moment a simple painted jacket made him realize, “I am the designer.” He reflects on the vulnerability of making art that doesn’t fit neatly into other people’s categories, the meaning held in black-and-white memory, and why every garment has to tell him what it needs. This is a tender conversation about trusting yourself, carrying your roots with you, and becoming secure enough to make work that feels unmistakably like your own. Guillermo reminds us that creativity is not always about inventing something new—it can also be a way of remembering, belonging, and giving your story a place to live. #087: Are You Too Much... Or Just Finally Yourself?
Aug 10, 202619 min
What if the most vulnerable thing you do as a creative is let people hear you while you’re still figuring yourself out? In this solo episode, Dwight opens the door to his own lab—sharing what it feels like to practice in public, listen back to every word, and notice every awkward pause pattern that makes him cringe. Instead of teaching from a safe distance, he names the tender edges of visibility: the wish to show up in a monotone, the fear of being “too much,” and the old scripts that told us to be professional by checking our personality at the door. Along the way, he invites you to see your inner critic not as an enemy, but as a part of you that once tried to keep you safe—and that you’re now allowed to outgrow. This conversation is for any creative human who feels messy, in-progress, and unsure if their voice deserves the mic. Dwight offers companionship in that discomfort, reminding you that every time you show up—on stage, on canvas, on the page—it’s just practice, and being a work in progress is not a flaw; it’s the proof that you’re still alive and becoming. This is Maddox & Dwight! More than anything, we want to connect and communicate with you. We don't want to think of you as listeners. We want to think of you as community. #086: Why Your Team Keeps Nodding and Nothing Changes
Aug 3, 202623 min
You've sat in that meeting. The slides are polished, everyone nods on cue, and by Monday it's like the offsite never happened — a kind of collective amnesia settles back in. In this solo episode, Dwight steps out from behind the usual guest chair to name something he's carried through years of designing gatherings for leaders and creatives alike: leadership, he believes, is its own creative journey — with the same doubt, the same awakening, the same hunger to be seen as real instead of just useful. He talks about what actually breaks the spell: real check-ins instead of small talk, naming the tensions everyone's been quietly carrying, and commitments made in front of people who'll actually ask about them later. Not techniques. Permission. Because underneath every job title is a person circling their own tender spots, wondering if it's safe to be honest here. Dwight's answer is simple and a little disarming — it usually is, if someone goes first. This one isn't about running better meetings. It's about what becomes possible when a room finally stops performing. This is Maddox & Dwight! More than anything, we want to connect and communicate with you. Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
