This spiritual awakening podcast, hosted by lifelong friends Anne and Mel, Coffee Tea & Consciousness is a candid, unfiltered look at healing, awakening, and the messy work of trying to live consciously in a very unconscious world. After each having their own spiritual awakenings around 2010, Anne and Mel have spent over two decades navigating healing, childhood wounds, past-life discoveries, soul contracts, signs from spirit, dowsing rods, psychic communication and the everyday chaos of being human while trying to stay awake to it all. Equal parts spiritual exploration and real talk, the show digs into how beliefs - many rooted in childhood - quietly shape (and limit) our lives, how awakening reshapes relationships and identity, and how to hold space for both the mystical and the mundane. Expect funny, honest, occasionally sweary conversations about guides, grief, energy, motherhood, religion, and the strange, hilarious ways Spirit shows up (blind rescue cats included). This isn't a polished, one-size-fits-all guide to enlightenment - it's two friends figuring it out in real time, sharing what worked, what hasn't, and what still doesn't make sense. New episodes explore structured spiritual topics alongside loose in-the-moment life conversations, with the goal of building a community for anyone else doing this work - especially those who feel like they're doing it alone.

Higher Perspective & Human Mess
Aug 25, 20261h 12mS0

This week, Mel and Anne turn the mirror on their own marriages β and on themselves. They dig into what it really means to "see things from a higher perspective" when you're still a human with feelings, a spouse, and old wounds that don't care how awake you are. Anne opens up about 30 years of suppressing herself while raising kids, reclaiming her worth, and the wall she keeps hitting when Tony shuts down instead of engaging. Mel shares a raw story about helping (badly) with her father-in-law's move, her ongoing pattern of overcorrecting out of guilt, and the years-long process of...

We've all done it: pointed at someone else and said, "You made me feel this way." In this episode, Anne and Mel get honest about two very different situations β Anne's decades-old resentment about her ex-husband's happy-hour habit resurfacing through her son's relationship, and Mel's quiet avoidance of a hard conversations with her husband. They use both as case studies for a bigger idea: blame is almost always a scapegoat for something we don't want to feel in ourselves.

They talk about the difference between the "tangible reality" of a situation (the bills, the missed payment, the bar ta...
Loving the Skeptic: When Your Partner Isn't Awakening With You
Aug 13, 20261h 8mS1

This episode is a direct continuation of the previous recording β Mel and Anne pick up right where they left off, diving into a topic Anne teed up earlier: what it's actually like to go through a spiritual awakening when your husband isn't having the same experience.

Both hosts share the wild, chaotic, sometimes funny stories from the height of their awakenings β Mel seeing energy everywhere and showing up at a stranger's house because she felt she had a message to deliver; Anne getting shut down in a group therapy session for going against the grain; both of them...
Manifest Your Life: You Can't Rush Right Timing (Even When You're Losing Your Mind)
Aug 11, 202658 minS1

What happens when the thing you want so badly just... won't come? In this episode, Mel and Anne dig into the messy, unglamorous middle of manifestation β the part nobody puts on a vision board.

Mel shares the story of a friend who finally found "his person" only after he stopped clinging to wanting one, and unpacks her own complicated history with the "manifest your reality" world: the guilt she carried around money, the shame she felt when abundance didn't show up the way it was "supposed to," and the moment she finally let herself feel raw, uncomfortable en...
Reading Your Body's Wake-Up Calls: Some Physical Signs of Spiritual Awakening
Aug 3, 202645 minS1

Anne and Mel get into the physical side of spiritual awakening β the stuff that doesn't show up on a scan.

Anne shares an experience where both her ears would ring and go out at the same time, something an ENT told her was medically "unheard of" since the ears aren't connected β and how that confirmed for her it wasn't a hearing problem. Mel talks about years of debilitating cluster headaches that put her in bed for days, a strange head-pressure sensation early in her awakening she's never found an explanation for online, and a memorable moment at a Sa...
