Episode 393: Coach Marcus Dilligard: "Building Champions Beyond the Scoreboard"
Marcus Dilligard is the newly appointed Athletic Director and Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach at Hilton Head Christian Academy in Bluffton, South Carolina. A proven program builder with more than 16 years of experience in athletics, Dilligard brings an extensive background in coaching, athletic administration, player development, and Christian leadership. He played collegiate basketball at Furman University before continuing his playing career professionally in South America. Prior to joining HHCA, Dilligard served as Athletic Director and Head Men's Basketball Coach at Grace Christian Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee , where he oversaw 17 athletic programs, more than 60 teams, and 85 staff members while helping maintain a 90% student-athlete participation rate. His basketball résumé includes two national championships, an NCISAA State Championship, more than 45 players who advanced to college basketball, a professional player, and multiple nationally ranked prospects . Dilligard's program-building philosophy is simple but powerful: “No player is bigger than the team. No team is bigger than the program. No program is bigger than the school.
