Obedience and Surrender: How Wholehearted Faithfulness Grows Daily
Aug 21, 20269 minS2
Obedience and Surrender is the daily fruit of a heart that has been changed by the mercy of God, not driven by human willpower. In this episode, Keith Fentress opens Luke 9:23 to show how a divided heart often hides beneath busyness, distraction, and the desire to keep control while still asking Jesus for His blessing. You will be reminded that surrender is a response to grace, not payment for grace, and that Christ's finished work removes our guilt while His loving grace confronts the idols that keep us bound. The biblical hope is that Jesus does not call His people into harsh striving, but into freedom from false masters through abiding in Him. Listen in and ask the Lord to help you take one concrete step today by laying down what competes with His rule and following Him with a more wholehearted faith. Compromise Creeps In: Guarding Your Heart Through Small Decisions
Aug 20, 20267 minS2
Compromise Creeps In when small, hidden choices go unchecked and begin to divide the heart. In this episode of Can I Get A Witness Daily Devotional, Keith Fentress opens Song of Solomon 2:15 to show how the little foxes of tolerated sin, careless habits, and quiet excuses can spoil what God is growing in us. If you have been explaining away attitudes or decisions that seem minor, this devotional offers biblical clarity and the hope that Christ meets us with conviction, grace, and power to obey. You will be encouraged to see that faithfulness is formed in the little things, and that sin deceives and hardens when we bargain with it. Take a few minutes to listen and ask the Lord to reveal one small compromise you need to confess and cut off today. Please Subscribe to be notified when a new episode is available. Whole Heart: Loving God With All Your Heart and Soul
Aug 19, 20267 minS2
Whole Heart is the call of Deuteronomy 6:5, where God commands His people to love Him with all their heart, soul, and strength. In this episode, Keith Fentress addresses the quiet danger of a divided heart, where competing desires and small compromises can slowly pull us from sincere devotion to the Lord. You will be reminded that this kind of love is not empty religion or self-powered effort, but a covenant response to the grace of God revealed fully in Jesus Christ, who loved and redeemed us first. Jesus also makes clear that we cannot serve two masters, so this devotional helps listeners honestly identify what may be competing for God's rightful place. Take a few quiet minutes today to ask the Lord to reveal one divided area of your heart and respond with one specific step of obedient surrender as you listen and apply. Heart Idols: Recognizing What Quietly Competes With God
Aug 18, 20267 minS2
Heart Idols can hide behind good gifts like comfort, approval, security, control, or success until they quietly compete with God for our trust and obedience. In this episode of Can I Get A Witness Daily Devotional, Keith Fentress opens Ezekiel 14:3 to show that the Lord not only sees outward religion but also lovingly confronts the inward allegiances that divide the heart. If you have felt the pull of anxiety, compromise, or frustration when something important is threatened, this devotional helps you examine what may be ruling where Christ alone should reign. The hope of the gospel is that Jesus exposes idols not to condemn His people, but to free us and lead us back to wholehearted worship. Take a few quiet moments today to ask the Lord to search your heart, name what has taken first place, and listen with a ready spirit to follow Him more fully. Double-Minded Faith: Why Divided Loyalty Leaves You Spiritually Unsteady
Aug 17, 20268 minS2
Double-Minded Faith: Why Divided Loyalty Leaves You Spiritually Unsteady Core Scripture: James 1:8 — "he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." Double-Minded Faith exposes the spiritual instability that comes when our hearts are pulled between trusting God and clinging to rival loves. In this episode, Keith Fentress opens James 1:8 and shows why divided loyalty leaves believers unsteady in trust, worship, and obedience. If you have ever said you trust the Lord while still reaching for control, security, or approval somewhere else, this devotional speaks directly to that struggle with biblical clarity and grace. The hope is not found in trying harder, but in asking God to unite your heart through His Word and through dependence on Jesus Christ. Take a few minutes to listen and prayerfully ask the Lord to reveal any competing master and lead you into wholehearted devotion. Please Subscribe to be notified when a new episode is available.
