Lucas draws on frameworks from Porter to Rumelt, grounding each episode in a real company's market-positioning decision — how Costco's membership model creates a moat, why Southwest's point-to-point network still works after deregulation, or what Nvidia's platform strategy means for chip startups. Luna pushes back with case evidence, financial ratios, and the operational trade-offs that executives rarely admit. Together, they walk through growth planning scenarios: build versus buy, vertical integration versus outsourcing, first-mover versus fast-follower. Each conversation ends with a tension — the unresolved question a strategist should keep awake at nig

How Costco Turned Membership Fees Into A Moat
Sep 15, 202611 minS4
Lucas and Luna dissect how Costco’s counterintuitive pricing model creates a structural competitive advantage. By capping margins at fourteen percent and relying on membership renewals for nearly all operating income, the retailer has built one of the most defensible business models in modern commerce. We explore the specific mechanics of this fee-based revenue stream, why it aligns incentives perfectly with shareholders, and how it forces operational discipline that competitors cannot easily replicate. This is not just about cheap goods—it is about the economics of trust and scale. #BusinessStrategy #CostcoWholesale #CompetitiveMoats #MembershipEconomics #RetailInnovation #PricingPower #OperationalDiscipline #ConsumerTrust #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #GrowthPlanning #MarketPositioning #MarginControl #CustomerRetention #SupplyChainEfficiency #CorporateGovernance #ValueCreation #LongTermThinking Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
