A Construction Tech CEO on Why Builder Financials Break Down
Sep 29, 202635 min
Reece sits down with Matt Calvano, co-founder and CEO of Adaptive, to talk about why construction financials break down when the field and back office are working from different information. Unlike most businesses, construction accounting depends on constantly understanding what is actually happening on each project. They get into why buying software based on features alone rarely fixes the problem, how builders can give their teams more freedom to test better tools, and why workflow matters as much as the system itself. Matt also shares where Adaptive is headed after its $30 million Series B, including using operational context from schedules, daily logs, email, and the field to make financial reporting more accurate and proactive. 4 Perspectives On When Why And How Builders Scale Profitably
Sep 22, 202635 min
This compilation episode revisits past conversations with Tyler Grace, Shawn Van Dyke, Isabel Affinito, and Paul Atherton to explore when, why, and how builders should scale their businesses. Across four different perspectives, the conversations cover profitable growth, knowing your numbers, building the right team, simplifying systems, getting the owner out of day-to-day operations, and deciding what growth is actually supposed to provide. The common thread is simple: more revenue and more volume do not automatically create a better business. What AI Means For The Future Of Construction Through 3 Perspectives
Sep 1, 202642 min
Reece revisits conversations with Julie Adams of Sage, Deepti Yenireddy of Boone AI, and Ryan Rademann of Wipfli about how AI is changing the work of construction. Pulled from three past episodes, these conversations explore estimating, financial reporting, outdated systems, workforce shortages, and AI literacy. Together, they point toward a bigger shift: AI is not simply replacing people or automating tasks. It is changing where people provide value and what contractors need from their teams, systems, and processes. The Hidden Costs Of A Messy Back Office with Aimee Roden
Aug 25, 202636 min
Reece sits down with construction bookkeeper Aimee Roden to talk about the back-office mistakes that quietly cost contractors money, from poor cost coding to delayed billing and unreliable job-cost reports. Aimee breaks down why contractors overload their chart of accounts, how coding connects directly to AIA billing and accounts receivable, and why waiting until the end of a job to understand performance is a dangerous way to run a business. They also get into when owners become the bottleneck, why these problems grow with revenue, and how better systems and AI can make the financial side of construction easier to manage. Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
