Episode #134
Are You Really Engaging Customers or Just Talking at Them - with Lux Narayan
Sep 21, 202643 min
Most SaaS companies spend a lot of time thinking about what they want to tell customers. But how much time do they spend genuinely listening? In this episode of Breakthrough SaaS Growth, Jason Noble and Jason Whitehead are joined by Lux Narayan, founder of StreamAlive, to explore what real engagement actually looks like. We discuss why attendance and participation are not the same as engagement, why polls and interaction can easily become theatre and what changes when you design conversations around what you want to learn rather than simply what you want to say. We also explore the role AI could play in helping organisations listen at scale. Instead of using AI simply to create more content, presentations and messages, could one of its most valuable uses be helping us understand what hundreds or thousands of customers are actually thinking? The conversation covers webinars, product demos, customer onboarding, training and Customer Success, with one important theme running throughout: Activity is not evidence of value. If customers attend your meetings, complete your training or use your product, that tells you something. But it does not necessarily tell you whether they understood anything, changed their behaviour or achieved the outcomes they were looking for. So how do we move from talking at customers to learning from them and turn genuine engagement into adoption, value, retention and growth? About Lux Narayan Lux Narayan is the founder of StreamAlive. His TED talk on lessons from analysing obituaries has been viewed more than two million times. He is also the author of Name Place Animal Thing and has a long-standing interest in storytelling, comedy and how people communicate. Find out more at LuxNarayan.com. About StreamAlive StreamAlive uses AI to turn chat in platforms such as Teams and Zoom into real-time interaction, including polls, live maps, summaries and audience insights. It is designed for webinars, presentations, training and other one-to-many sessions and integrates with tools including PowerPoint, Canva and Gamma. Find out more at StreamAlive.com.
AI Agents Are Here But Who Is Accountable When They Act - with Venkat Siva
Sep 14, 202636 min
AI agents are moving from demos into real business workflows. They are no longer just answering questions or drafting content. They are starting to take action across systems, data, workflows and customer processes. That creates a much bigger leadership question. Who is accountable when an AI agent acts? In this episode of Breakthrough SaaS Growth with The Jasons, we speak with Venkat Siva, Co-Founder and CEO of CompFly AI, about the rise of agentic AI, controlled autonomy and why governance matters when AI systems move from advising humans to acting on their behalf. We explore why AI agents are different from chatbots and copilots, what happens when agents are given access to business systems and why prompt-level control is not enough once AI can trigger real actions. We also discuss what SaaS founders, operators, customer leaders, RevOps teams and enterprise leaders need to think about before scaling AI agents across the business. Key topics include: (1) Why AI agents create a new accountability challenge (2) What controlled autonomy means in practice (3) Why AI governance needs to move beyond prompts (4) How agentic AI changes trust, control and risk (5) Where AI agents may show up first in SaaS companies (6) What leaders should put in place before scaling agents This is a practical conversation about how to get the upside of AI agents without sleepwalking into avoidable risk, confusion or another expensive AI transformation mess. One Question That Reveals Why SaaS Customers Really Churn
Sep 7, 20265 min
SaaS companies often record churn as price, missing features, competition or budget pressure. Those answers rarely reveal why the customer decided the product no longer mattered. That leaves Customer Success, Product and Support fixing symptoms while the underlying retention risk remains. In this episode, Jason Noble and Jason Whitehead explore one simple cancellation question: “What made you decide to cancel?” You will learn how to uncover the real trigger behind customer churn and turn individual conversations into patterns the business can act on. We examine onboarding failure, poor product fit, value mismatch, customer experience and competitive pressure. We also explain how SaaS teams can use cancellation feedback to improve customer retention, adoption and customer value. Why SaaS Companies Struggle to Turn AI Into Measurable ROI
Sep 3, 202614 min
AI capability is advancing faster than most SaaS operating models can change. New tools and AI agents will not produce measurable ROI if workflows, ownership, data and behaviours remain the same. In this episode, Jason Noble and Jason Whitehead explore why AI adoption is becoming an organisational change problem rather than a technology problem. You will learn why automating a broken process usually creates bigger problems faster, how the gap between technology speed and organisational speed delays AI ROI and why SaaS companies need to connect AI features to credible business outcomes. We also discuss adoption, customer value and the role customer context, workflows and permissions could play in creating a more defensible SaaS product. Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
