Bread of Life
John Chpt. 5:16-30 , Part 3
Send us Fan Mail In John 5:16–30 , Jesus responds to religious leaders who were angry because He healed a man on the Sabbath. Instead of backing down, Jesus makes an even greater revelation: He is the Son of God and shares divine authority with the Father. Jesus explains that He does what He sees the Father doing. He has authority to give life, raise the dead, execute judgment, and offer eternal life to everyone who hears His Word and believes. This passage challenges us with an important question: Who is Jesus to us? He is more than a teacher, prophet, or miracle worker. Jesus is the Son of God, possessing the authority to transform our lives and give us eternal life. John 5:16–30 reminds us that when Jesus speaks, His words carry the authority of heaven.
