Are you a Christ-follower who wants to live boldly for Him? Do you want to be a witness, stand for the Truth, step out of your comfort zone, and experience spiritual growth? Do you want to share the Good News of Jesus and what He has done in your life but are a little apprehensive about speaking boldly about Him to other people? Or maybe you have conversations with a friend or family member, and they ask hard questions about your faith, and you don't feel adequate in your Biblical knowledge to respond? If that is you, you are not alone, and you are in the right place, my friend! My name is Missy Eversole, and I'm a wife, mom, author, speaker, Colson Fellow, and a friend who loves to grab a cup of coffee, sit around the table and talk about Jesus. For years, I didn't have the courage to speak boldly about my relationship with Jesus because I felt inadequate. In my mind, no one would care about what I'd have to say if I didn't have a degree in theology. But here's what I've learned:

127 - What Does Bold Faith Look Like Right Now with Missy Eversole
Aug 31, 202616 min
What does bold faith look like in your life right now? We often picture bold faith as something big, public, or extraordinary. But Scripture shows us that bold faith can look like courage, prayer, hospitality, wisdom, obedience, or simply taking the next faithful step God puts in front of us. In this Season 4 kickoff of Bold Faith Now, Missy looks back at thirteen bold women of the Bible whose faith took very different forms and shares what their stories can teach us about following God faithfully in our ordinary lives. You'll also hear what's ahead for Season 4, including more conversations with Christian nonfiction and fiction authors about faith, culture, calling, storytelling, biblical truth, and the stories behind the stories. In this episode, Missy discusses: Why bold faith doesn't always look loud, dramatic, or fearless What thirteen women of the Bible teach us about courage, obedience, prayer, wisdom, and faithfulness Why Christian fiction and nonfiction can both communicate powerful truths How to recognize and take the next faithful step God has placed in front of you Bold faith isn't necessarily knowing where the whole story is going. Sometimes it's simply trusting God enough to say yes in the chapter you're living right now. Remember to live boldly for Jesus and let your light shine bright for Him! 126 - Deep Roots and Bold Faith with Missy Eversole
Aug 24, 202612 min
What are you rooted in when life gets hard, culture gets confusing, or following Jesus costs you something? Bold faith doesn't begin with being outspoken, having the perfect response, or standing on a stage. It begins beneath the surface, with roots that are growing deep in Christ. In this solo episode of Bold Faith Now, Missy explores the connection between being rooted in Jesus and having the courage to live boldly for Him. Grounded in Colossians 2:6–7, Acts 4:13, and a memorable encounter with a Walmart cashier, she reminds us that biblical boldness often shows up in ordinary moments of obedience. In this episode, Missy discusses: Why bold faith begins with being deeply rooted in Christ How biblical boldness combines conviction, courage, grace, and compassion Why ordinary acts of obedience can become powerful opportunities to point others to Jesus How the unseen habits of Scripture, prayer, truth, and obedience prepare us to stand firm when the storms come Deep roots are formed before the storm. The quiet choices no one sees are often the very things God uses to prepare us for the moments when standing firm matters most. In this episode of the Bold Faith Now podcast, Missy talks with trial lawyer and Christian apologist Daniel P. Buttafuoco about his book, Unapologetic: Clear Answers to Tough Bible Questions, A Trial Lawyer's Guide to Winning People, Not Just Arguments. In this episode, Missy and Daniel discuss: Why Christians need to understand the reasons behind their faith How eyewitness testimony supports the reliability of the New Testament Why young believers need apologetics before entering college How to answer tough questions without losing sight of the person asking them Christianity is not a blind faith. We have sound reasons for what we believe, and we do not need to fear hard questions. Our goal is not to win an argument. 124 - Christ Is Greater Than the Chaos with Mike Tatlock
Aug 10, 202630 min
Have you wondered how Christians can remain rooted in Christ and faithfully engage a culture filled with chaos, confusion, and compromise? In this episode of the Bold Faith Now podcast, Missy talks with pastor, author, and Portland Trail Blazers chaplain Mike Tatlock about his book, A Compelling Faith in a Compromising Culture. Mike explains why today's cultural climate feels like a storm and how believers can stand firm without retreating from the people and places God has called them to serve. He also shares how compromise begins when we agree with the wrong promises, how hidden altars can compete for our devotion, and the miraculous story of surviving a fall of nearly 600 feet while climbing Mount Hood. In this episode, Missy and Mike discuss: How believers can remain deeply rooted in Christ during cultural storms Why compromise begins when we agree with promises that contradict God's truth How success, comfort, money, and even our phones can become hidden altars Practical ways to engage others through prayer, relationships, thoughtful questions, and genuine follow-up This conversation is a powerful reminder that Christians should not run from the darkness. Christ in us is greater than the surrounding chaos, and God has placed each of us in a mission field where we live, work, and play. Aug 3, 202636 min
Have you wondered how Christians can recognize woke ideology without losing sight of truth, compassion, and the gospel? He also shares practical guidance for navigating smartphones and social media, and reaching people with both courage and compassion. Christians must offer a better vision, one grounded in the truth, goodness, and beauty of God's Word. Remember to live boldly for Jesus and let your light shine bright for Him!
