Bede Vs. The Living Dead Episode 89 - Plague Of The Living Dead (2007)... The Other Spin-Off NOTLD Comic Mini-Series From Avatar Press
Welcome to episode 89 of Bede Vs. The Living Dead. The Halloween season is once again upon us, and your host Bede Jermyn has plenty of great stuff lined up for you all for the podcast (and as well as the other shows on The BVTLD Network) this entire month in honour of this occasion. To start of the season, Bede goes back into the world Night Of The Living Dead comics to take a look at another spin-off entry that was released by the infamous company Avatar Press, which happens to be the very last one that he will covering from them for the podcast: the 2007 comic mini-series Plague Of The Living Dead . Joining Bede to discuss this final journey into Avatar Press produced Night Of The Living Dead comic books is returning guest Doug Tilley ( Cinema Smorgasbord ). Highlights include Bede's relief that never has to read another NOTLD Avatar Press comic ever again, where does Plague Of The Living Dead rank among the other ones Bede has covered for the show?, do the Avatar Press trademark gratuitous violence, sex and nudity make an appearance? (spoilers: they do), did co-writer John A. Russo have any real say in the story?, the confusion over which character is who, and so much more.
