The righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith. - God's wrath is revealed against ungodliness. People suppress the truth, exchange God for idols, and are given over to a debased mind.

  This is part of a year long reading of the Bible chronologically in a harmonized format. 2 Chronicles 25:1-28 - Amaziah of Judah does right at first, then brings Edomite idols home after a victory and will not listen to the prophet. - He challenges Israel, is defeated, and is later killed in Lachish after a conspiracy. Jonah 1:1 - 4:11 - Jonah flees from the Lord, is cast into the sea, and is swallowed by a great fish until he prays and is delivered. - Nineveh repents at Jonah's word. Jonah is angry at God's mercy, and the Lord teaches him through a plant and a worm. Acts 20:1-3 - After the uproar in Ephesus, Paul encourages the disciples, travels through Macedonia, and stays three months in Greece before a plot by the Jews makes him return through Macedonia. Romans 1:1-15 - Paul introduces himself as a servant of Christ Jesus, set apart for the gospel of God concerning his Son. - He longs to visit the believers in Rome to preach among them and be mutually encouraged by their faith.
