Zooey Claire Deschanel is an American actress and singer born on January 17, 1980. She made her film debut in Mumford in 1999 and appeared in Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous the following year. Deschanel is recognized for her roles in comedy films such as The Good Girl, The New Guy, Elf, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Failure to Launch, Yes Man, 500 Days of Summer, and Our Idiot Brother.
