Zinedine Yazid Zidane, born on June 23, 1972, is a French professional football manager and former player recognized as one of the greatest players of all time. During his playing career, he was an attacking midfielder noted for his elegance, vision, passing, and ball control. Zidane played for Cannes, Bordeaux, Juventus, and Real Madrid, achieving numerous titles and individual awards including the FIFA World Player of the Year and the Ballon d'Or. He scored a memorable goal in the 2002 Champions League final and was named in the greatest XI of both Real Madrid and Juventus. Internationally, Zidane represented France 108 times, winning the 1998 FIFA World Cup with a brace in the final, as well as UEFA Euro 2000, where he was named Player of the Tournament.
