William Tong: podcast appearances and interviews

William Morten Tong is an American lawyer and politician serving as the 25th attorney general of Connecticut. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, he attended Brown University and the University of Chicago Law School. Tong began his legal career working at the law firms Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Finn Dixon & Herling. In 2006, he was elected to the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing the 147th district which includes most of North Stamford. He served six terms from 2007 to 2019, during which he chaired the banking committee from 2011 to 2015 and the judiciary committee from 2015 to 2019. In 2018, Tong was elected attorney general of Connecticut and took office on January 9, 2019. He is notably the first Asian Pacific-American to be elected as attorney general and as a constitutional officer in the state's history.
