His political beliefs evolved from skepticism of industrial capitalism influenced by medievalism and Christian socialism to active revolutionary socialism, leading to his founding of the Socialist League. Morris was committed to publishing and the arts until the end of his life, establishing the Kelmscott Press to produce illuminated-style print books.
