Will Potter: podcast appearances and interviews

Will Potter is an American investigative journalist and TED Senior Fellow. He has contributed articles to publications such as the Chicago Tribune, The Dallas Morning News, and Legal Affairs. His work often focuses on the effects of the so-called 'war on terrorism' on civil liberties and critiques US government tactics related to environmental and animal rights activism. He has become a prominent critic of Green Scare tactics through his website GreenIsTheNewRed.com and has written extensively on topics like the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act. Potter has participated in conferences, delivered lectures at universities, and contributed to academic courses on these issues. In 2006, he addressed the U.S. Congress regarding his reporting, and his article on the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act was recognized in the 2008 edition of Censored 2008 as one of the top overlooked news stories of 2007. From 2016 to 2017, he served as the Marsh Visiting Professor of Journalism at the University of Michigan. In addition to his investigative work, Potter authored Little Red Barns in 2025, a book examining factory farming and its environmental and ethical implications, based on a decade-long investigation into factory farms and advocacy efforts to expose their practices.
