Wendy Williams: podcast appearances and interviews

Wendy Williams Hunter, born on July 18, 1964, is an American former broadcaster, media personality, and author. She began her career as a radio DJ in New York City and gained recognition as a shock jock known for her confrontational celebrity interviews. Williams's career includes hosting the television talk show The Wendy Williams Show from 2008 to 2021, and her appearances in various films and television shows. She has authored several books and expanded her media presence through a fashion line, a wig line, and a jewelry collection. Williams was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2009 and has been recognized for her influence in the entertainment industry, including having a street in her hometown of Asbury Park, New Jersey, named Wendy Williams Way. Due to health complications, Williams retired from her show in 2021. Subsequently, she was placed under a guardianship in 2022. In 2023, she was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. Her legal team initiated litigation against the guardianship in December 2025 after court-ordered medical evaluations suggested her condition was related to alcohol-related dementia, and not a progressive form of aphasia or dementia as previously diagnosed.
