Wendy Babcock: podcast appearances and interviews

Wendy Babcock was a Canadian activist known for her work advocating for the rights of sex workers. Born in Toronto on May 29, 1979, she became a sex worker at the age of 15 and later played a significant role in the organization Sex Professionals of Canada from 2004 to 2007. Her efforts focused on promoting the rights of sex workers and supporting the movement towards decriminalization of sex work in Canada. Beyond her activism, Babcock was a TEDx speaker, author, and stage speaker coach associated with WHEN Stories. She was working on a memoir at the time of her death and was also nearing her graduation from law school. Babcock passed away on August 9, 2011, due to an accidental overdose at her home. Her contributions to advocacy and public speaking continue to be recognized.
