Wade Davis

Edmund Wade Davis, born December 14, 1953, is a Canadian cultural anthropologist, ethnobotanist, photographer, and writer. He gained prominence with his 1985 best-selling book The Serpent and the Rainbow, which explored the phenomenon of zombies in Haiti. Davis is affiliated with National Geographic as an explorer-in-residence, a role that underscores his extensive fieldwork and contributions to understanding diverse cultures and ecosystems.
