Vali Nasr: podcast appearances and interviews

Vali Reza Nasr is an Iranian-American academic and political scientist specializing in Middle Eastern studies and the history of Islam. He holds the position of Majid Khaddouri Professor of International Affairs and Middle East Studies at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C. From 2012 to 2019, he served as the eighth dean of the school. Nasr is also a non-resident senior adviser at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He has been recognized by The Economist as a leading world authority on Shia Islam. Through his scholarly work, he has contributed significantly to the understanding of Middle Eastern politics and religious dynamics.
