Valerie Adams: podcast appearances and interviews

Valerie Adams is a retired New Zealand shot putter who has achieved significant success in her athletics career. She is a four-time World champion, a four-time World Indoor champion, and a two-time Olympic medalist. Adams has also secured three Commonwealth Games titles and two IAAF Continental Cup victories. Her personal best throws are 21.24 meters outdoors and 20.98 meters indoors, which are Oceanian, Commonwealth, and New Zealand national records. She set records at the Oceanian junior and youth levels and holds multiple records at the World Championships, World Indoor Championships, and Commonwealth Games. Adams was the third woman to win world championships at youth, junior, and senior levels of athletics and was the first woman to win four consecutive individual titles at the IAAF World Championships. Her winning streak at elite competitions extended to 56 victories from August 2010 to July 2015. She has earned numerous accolades, including IAAF World Athlete of the Year in 2014 and Track & Field News Athlete of the Year in 2012 and 2013. Throughout her career, Adams has been a medalist at the Olympics, World Championships, and Commonwealth Games, and has won multiple national titles in New Zealand and Australia. She was recognized as New Zealand Sportswoman of the Year seven times in succession from 2006 to 2012 and received the Lonsdale Cup five times.
