Christopher Tyler Austin, born on September 6, 1991, is an American professional baseball player who serves as a first baseman and outfielder. He has played for multiple teams in Major League Baseball, including the New York Yankees, Minnesota Twins, San Francisco Giants, and Milwaukee Brewers. Additionally, he has played in Nippon Professional Baseball for the Yokohama DeNA BayStars. Austin's baseball career began in high school at Heritage High School in Conyers, Georgia. He was drafted by the Yankees in the 2010 MLB draft and was recognized as a highly regarded prospect. However, his development faced setbacks due to injuries, which caused him to miss significant playing time. Austin made his MLB debut in 2016 and remained with the Yankees until 2018, when he was traded to the Twins. In 2019, he played for both the Twins and the Giants before the Giants released him during the season. Subsequently, he signed a minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers.
