Trent Dilfer: podcast appearances and interviews

Trent Farris Dilfer, born on March 13, 1972, is an American football coach and former NFL quarterback. He played college football at Fresno State, where he won the Sammy Baugh Trophy in 1993. Selected sixth overall in the 1994 NFL draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dilfer spent his first six seasons with the team and earned a Pro Bowl honor in 1997. Despite his contributions, he was released due to inconsistent performance and subsequently joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2000. During his time with the Ravens, he became the starting quarterback midway through the season and led the team to a Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl XXXV, marking his most significant professional achievement. Following the Super Bowl win, Dilfer was not re-signed by the Ravens and spent the subsequent seasons as a backup with teams including the Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns, and San Francisco 49ers before retiring in 2008. After retiring from professional play, he was hired by ESPN as an NFL analyst, a role he held until 2017. Additionally, Dilfer served as the head coach of the Elite 11 quarterback camp. In 2023, he was named the head coach for UAB's football team. His tenure lasted until his firing during his third season with the team.
